Unitarians in London and the South East largely meet in 29 congregations of which 9 can be found in London itself. The London District and South Eastern Provincial Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches (known as the LDPA for all of us that find the full title a mouthful) is the regional network association/community for those congregations.

The LDPA supports congregations and individual Unitarians in London and the South East through various programs and activities, many of which are detailed on this website. The current Annual Report and Accounts can be viewed by clicking here.

Everyone is invited to a regional meeting held four times a year. Each gathering includes a religious service, a speaker and/or discussion on a topic of current interest, and ample opportunity to enjoy refreshments and fellowship. Details of the next such meeting can be found by clicking here.

A magazine, known as the LANTERN, is also published quarterly. Online copies of the current and recent issues can be found by clicking here.

Much of the active work of the LDPA is undertaken by the District Minister/Secretary, currently the Rev. Steve Dick. Information about the District Minister can be found here.
For more information about LDPA activities or congregations in the area, you are welcome to email Steve at SteveDick@me.com.

A growing activity is the provision of events for young people including both Saturday and weekend events, led by the Rev John Harley (Religious Education & Youth Coordinator). For more information on these programmes, please click here.

Changing patterns of life suggest a need for non-geographic communities and the LDPA plans to soon launch an online congregation through this website. Watch for further details or to receive a personal mail announcing the launch of the new virtual congregation, please click here.

The LDPA is a registered charity and is also a charitable company limited by guarantee. The governing body is a Council of up to ten persons elected at the Annual General Meeting from the member congregations. For more information about the current members of the LDPA Council, please click here.
